HP MINI 311 OVERCLOCKED TO 2.1GHz
Sunday, December 06, 2009 6:02 PM
While some netbook users look for the best battery life possible, others are more interested in buying machines that would deliver good performance. The power-hungry users will be glad to know that the HP Mini 311 can be overclocked to over 2.0GHz.

Several netbook users have managed to overclock the HP Mini 311’s Atom from its standard 1.6 GHz to an impressive 2.1GHz. Cranking up to 2.1GHz may be dangerous, but speeds just under 2.0GHz are known to yield solid improvement in performance. Several users have also managed to push the ION GPU to more than 500MHz.

The users overclocked the processor using Asrock’s OC Tuner utility. They made a
simple addition to the program’s config file and overclocked the processor. But before you go ahead and try this yourself be aware that overclocking to extremely high speeds may affect the stability of your PC.
